Instructions

  1. Individual Shadow Projection: Each child selects a body part and projects its shadow onto a sheet of paper.
  2. Pair Work: Children form pairs and take turns tracing each other’s chosen body part onto the paper.
  3. Creative Transformation:
    • The traced shadow is transformed into something new by adding three details (e.g., a hand becomes a rooster).
    • The modified shadow is then painted completely black to create a solid silhouette and is cut out.
  4. Group Collaboration:
    • The pairs join together into a larger group (at least 8 children).
    • They arrange their cut-out silhouettes in sequence based on a theme or pattern the group decides.
  5. Storytelling & Performance:
    • Once the sequence is set, the group creates a story inspired by their arranged shapes.
    • They then act out their story and present it to the other groups.
